About

I’m a photographer, graphic designer… blah blah blah, all the stuff you’ve heard before. I’m sure you already know & that’s why your here. Let me tell you all the goodies about me myself & I.

I pride myself in my morning routines, but I get sick of routines quickly and need to change it up with a spontaneous trip across the world.

Every morning I don’t want, but truly need a really good cup of coffee.. sorry, not a Starbucks gal. Gimme that local, hidden gem with the fancy oat milk cafe & latte art!

Or else I’ll have a migraine… is that addiction? Maybe. Hence why I really push a coffee consultation with my clients. It’s an addiction, not for fun (😉)

I like to try things that I know will hurt me (just… hear me out) like roller skating, snowboarding, running, rock climbing and dreaming one day of being able to do a flip? Not sure why my brain wants this but so be it!

With the occasional blend of things that will calm me, like reading a book, practicing yoga or going for a walk (with the occasional heart-drop from tripping over something invisible on the sidewalk)

My toxic trait is when I’m on the low-end of funds for the month I crave a new tattoo. Maybe something more affordable, Alex?

I’m literally one of those people that will point out my cat doing something mundane and go “LOOK AT HER”

In summary, I thrive with coffee in my hand, love a good trip somewhere new, am addicted to trying new things, and love to talk all things creative.

You might know me as a baltimore gal, but I currently reside in Los Angeles, California, and now taking clients of all kinds here.

About

AH d&p

Alex started out by taking landscape photography back in the high school and college days with her moms camera while in different parts of the world.

When she got her first camera (Sony a6000) in 2018 for her birthday, she would take it to Oregon, California, and all over Europe to take landscape photos and self portraits, because the insecurity of taking other peoples photos was still pretty high. At this point, Alex become a personal trainer and would take photos for her co-workers for practice in the fitness setting. She even modeled for fitness photos and later on fashion portraits to get a taste of what that was like! She took graduation photos too, once the last season of college came to an end in 2018. She then backpacked Europe, and took landscape photos to sell back home to some close friends and family.

Alex was still photographing herself and close friends once the big C hit in 2020. Losing her main income, she decided to invest in a DSLR and started going on walks and taking photos of friends outside and a lot of self portraits. This grew to getting paid jobs for some friends of friends, and now, here we are!

Alex has always had a passion for design work as well. She was super into drawing and always did so well in art class. With her passion for drawing and digital work, she would help others who needed websites to bring them to life. She then turned to her love for art into digital logo and brand work, and now thrives making small and big businesses fresh and stylish logos and branding packages.

If you feel a bond already with me, I applaud you. Maybe it’s a sign to book with me. Or we can just have a coffee together, that’s fine with me, too.

 FAQs

  • This all depends on what you are looking for! Pricing for a portrait session is very different from a wedding package. My smallest package for portaits run at around $275 and can climb to about $3,500 for weddings. Please inquire here to find out what your price would be. I also always offer multiple packages for you to choose from for flexibility!

  • At the moment, no I do not. I only will take them in very certain circumstances - if you’re a previous couple client and are planning on shooting in my location or within 10 miles from me. They are a bit time consuming with travel, and go by SO fast! I recommend at least always booking a 1 hour session. (sometimes i’ll offer 45 min!)

  • So, depending on the project, if it is a 1 hour session, you’ll typically have a 2-week turnaround time or 3 during busy season. Weddings can take up to 2 months, but for bigger projects or a special event like an engagement or wedding, you’ll get 48 hour sneak peaks. You’ll get both of these via email through a digital gallery with high-quality or web size download options, as well as a shop in the gallery for prints!

  • This is HUGE! I always recommend inquiring when you feel the most committed to your project because there is a lot of commitment I require from you during our process together. Feel free to visit my Design page where I talk about the steps further, but this requires you to create a moodboard, have a consultation (or a few), finish detailed questionnaires per each revision, and have a send off meeting, all in a timely manner.
